Gentle Yoga Flow Classes 

 !0 am Mon : Gentle Stretch & YinYoga  : This class is a gentler stretch class with slow soft flows for more mature bodies. The focus  is on a slow relaxed stretch, full body connection, short time frames for balance, and proper body mechanics .  We get a little chatty in this class,  there is a little catching up, and information on all the positive changes that are happening in Strasburg and the valley.  Studio Class.

!0 am Wed  :  10 am Wed -  Slow Flowing & Yin Mix -   A nice balance between flowing movement to warm, strengthen, and tone muscle tissue; and relaxing  supported, relaxing, opening poses.  This is a  gentle slow flow for more mature bodies. The focus  is on a slow relaxed stretch, full body connection, short time frames for balance, and proper body mechanics .  We get a little chatty in this class,  there is a little catching up, and information on all the positive changes that are happening in Strasburg and the valley.  Studio Class.

​ 6pm Friday night  Color Me Yoga :  Next Class  starts in Feb For those that enjoy a less than traditional yoga class. These classes will inspire thoughtful conversation,  gentle yoga flows, and creative  meditation . A typical class is 30 min of yoga,  a half hour of creativity with discssion,  followed by 30 minutes of yoga and deep relaxaion.  See the descriptions below for information on this class.  Parks and  Recreation at the studio.

10am Sat : Circle of Light - Reiki Yoga: Next Class starts in Feb  In this Slow Flow Yoga Practice we merge Reiki healing with light and color for a deeper practice. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction, relaxation, wellness, health and healing. Reiki Yoga joins gentle yoga postures with Reiki. Yin Yoga postures stimulate life force energy, target connective tissue, and balance organ meridians through relaxing poses gently melted into, thus lengthening and strengthening connective tissue. We add a gentle meditative yoga, and a light circle for healing. Take a yoga journey and learn Reiki Healing at the same time. Work is standing, sitting on the mat and lying down. Studio has all the props needed, just come in loose clothing. Park on the street.  Parks and Recreation at the Studio.


Yoga and Pilates Mix


9:30 am Tuesday : Yoga Pilates Mix : We use a lot of props in this class, as props help to support and take the pressure off  various body areas such as neck and shoulders. Props also make toning easier while focusing on proper form. I suggest starting with the  Yoga Pilates Mix if you are new to yoga, ave not exercised for a time and live in a  more mature in Body.  Studio Class

6 pm Wed : Mindful Physicue : Next Class starts in Feb  Absolutely Fabulous Body is a mix of  technique's. You will be given 1 - 5 min of home work to be done daily for an Abb-Fab Body. This is a mix of Yoga, Pilates, beat, and a Barre workout. Yoga helps increase flexibility while toning muscles, adding  strength, found to decrease stiffness in joints, while improving posture and coordination. Pilates focuses on core strength from abdominal and back muscles. A Barre workout takes fluid moves from dance for better balance and flexibility, while slimming the muscles, increasing cardiovascular endurance and metabolism. We work in bare feet, on a yoga mat, and down on the floor. Come to class in comfortable clothing.  Parks and Recreation at the studio.

9:30 am Thursday :  Mix it Up : Yoga-Pilates-Barre-Beat :  A creative Mix of Techniques. Based on the needs of the students.  Yoga helps increaser flexibility while toning muscles, adding strength, it is found to decrease stiffness in joints, while improving posture and coordination. Pilates focuses on core strength, abdominal and back muscles. Bare workouts uses fluid moves for better balance and flexibility, while slimming the muscles, increasing cardiovascular endurance and metabolism. We work in bare feet,  on a yoga mat, and on the floor.  The Studio has all the props needed, just come in exercise clothing.  Studio Class

6 pm Thursday :  Mix it Up :  Yoga-Pilates-Barre-Beat :  A nice  mix of strength, balance, relaxation, and stretch.  We use props for alignment,  extension, support  and muscle tone.  The relaxed environment invites you to open up and let go. Our small classes allows for a more personal approach to our practice. We use a lot of props in this class, as props help to support and take the pressure off  various body areas such as neck and shoulders. Props also make toning easier while focusing on proper form.  Studio Class.

Yoga Flow

 Yoga Flow : Our flows are not traditional and softer flow style.  My flows are less traditional and  more expansive.  Gioia"s style is Shiva Rea and Vini Yoga, mixed with Yin restoration, and Kundalini energy.  Gioia"s Style of flow is less taxing on the joints and  takes  stress aways from the shoulder,  necks, and knees.

This  Winter:

Yin Restoration Yoga : A gentle, slow paced yoga that is suitable for all levels. Restoring the body, it works softly at a deep connective level. Helps joints become more flexible and open. Poses are supported by Blocks, Blankets, towels, and a yoga bolster. This practice strengthens, lengthens, and provides therapeutic release to joints, muscles, ligaments, fascia, and other connective tissues. Less active than other types of yoga. Poses are done lying down, sitting up, relaxed over a bolster, and gently twisted on your mat. You melt into the pose.  Parks and Recreation at the studio.

Yoga Rejuvenation : Invite all of the senses in,  nurture yourself with gentle yoga and a warm cup of tea. Meditate on the feel of warmth in your hands,  the smell,  the colors. This is a calm restorative yoga with Tie Chi like movement, and poses supportive by props to relax into a stretch. Journey into calm peaceful inner spaces.

Color Me Yoga : A great way to wind down for the weekend, and relax. Take a calm moment. Pull yourself away from the mundane world, reset and recharge your mind and body. Coloring is a form of meditation, being fully present with what you are doing. While we talk, and ponder a thoughtful reading. We start with 30 min of gentle flow yoga, then move to the parlor for 30 minutes of coloring, then finish back on the yoga mats for a lovely 30 minutes of a relaxing yin based yoga. Peaceful Restorative Yoga:A pampered yoga experience. A couple hours of complete relaxation, yoga poses are supported by blanket, Towels, blocks and a yoga bolster. Your muscles warmed with heated therapy pads. Relax on a thick foam mat, while you receive all the benefits of yoga without the work. The session may include light aromatherapy, eye pillows, Reiki Hands on healing by Reiki Master, Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor Gioia Pharo.  You enter your experience with spa music, soft lighting, candles, and inspirational readings. A perfect class to take if you need some stress relief and deep relaxation. Many students say they never slept so well, and many past students say stiffness melted away. Loving Kindness Yoga: let us  reflect on ways we can be kinder to ourselves and to the world around us. The flow is gentle and light,  strong  and purposeful.  This is a slow connecting Flow.  The readings seek to inspire, while deep relaxation connects us in to restful inner spaces.  See the schedule page.  Parks and Recreation at the studio.

Yoga for Back, Hips, Knees : All these body parts work together.  A good class if you have tight knees, tight hips, tight back. The goal is that we leave class feeling taller, stretched and free. this is more of a Yin Yoga Practice. See my schedule page. Location is the Strasburg StudioYIn Yang Yoga:  The Yang practice is active, dynamic, warming and upward. The The Yin practice asks you to relax, soften and let go. Yin practice is slow, purposeful, with poses held longer, working on deep, dense connective tissue, easing joints.Restorative yin postures are supported by blocks, blankets, bolsters, and other props, designed to maximize comfort, allowing the student to let go. The practice helps to quiet the brain and heart.
