A gentle yoga that is suitable for all levels. Restoring the body, it works softly at a deep connective level. Helps joints become more flexible and open. Poses are supported by Blocks, Blankets, towels, and a yoga bolster. This practice strengthens, lengthens, and provides therapeutic release to joints, muscles, ligaments, fascia, and other connective tissues. Less active than other types of yoga. Poses are done lying down, sitting up, relaxed over a bolster, and gently twisted on your mat. You melt into the pose. Poses are held for 2- 5 min each. You will not feel the time slip by. Example Candle is a bridge pose with the leg up for 2 min only supported by a block and a strap, while, pigeon pose is a deep hip opener using two yoga blocks for support. We begin with Flowing energy releasing light movement. Light movement gently stretches your body, while relaxing your mind. We Then move into a Chakra Meditation for inner harmony and peace. After meditation you we go to the polar for coloring, inspiring readings, and questions. To finish it all up we head back into the studio, finishing up with a delightful 90 minute restorative yin practice. Yin Yoga is done fully supported with blankets, bolsters, and blocks. During our Yin Practice Inspirational readings and spa music help you fully un-wind. In class we stand, sit, and lie on a yoga mat. No Shoes in the Studio.
